PatientPilot for Families and Caregivers on MedStartr!

PatientPilot is live on MedStartr  with a campaign to fund PatientPilot for Families and Caregivers.  This new version ofPatientPilot – for iPhone and Android – empowers patients, family members and other caregivers to connect and share medical information as well as PatientPilot’s tools and guidance for navigating the healthcare system.  PatientPilot coaches patients and caregivers on what questions to ask doctors, when to seek a second opinion, how to understand test results, how to find reliable medical information on the Internet, how to understand treatment options, and how to make medical decisions.

PatientPilot for Families and Caregivers will enable up to six family members or caregivers to create their own PatientPilot modules and share themselectively with each other.  They’ll be able to see each other’s interactive checklists of questions for the doctor, “key reminders,” medication lists, notes, recordings and appointments, and add notes or other content to each other’s modules.

PatientPilot for Families and Caregivers also will include a number of enhancements, including Live Video Chat , which enables a family member or caregiver to virtually join the patient at a doctor’s appointment and ask the doctor questions.
